It’s APRIL! A new Season! This is the time of perfect weather, it is not too hold nor too cold. It’s time to pull out the sundresses and sandals. The flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and the sun is shining. But how many of us truly understand the changing of seasons? It is easy to reap the benefits of harvest, but be honest about what you have sown in your last season. We only truly see the beauty of the flowers that bloom; but can easily forget the work and process that the flower had to go through in order to bloom. Let me identify the stages for the flower.
PHASE 1: Sowing of the seed: At this phase, the gardener only has an idea of what the flower will look like. This is the things hoped for that isn’t seen. Truly an act of faith! It is very important that the seed is grounded in GOOD soil. It also has to be planted at the RIGHT time. If you are in the sowing season, be BOLD in what you ask of God. It is also important to carefully select your circle of influence. Ask yourself…are you GROUNDED in God? Grounded In a positive group of friends? Do you trust in the timing of your season?
PHASE 2: Watering of the seed: This is one of the most important stages for a seed. If the seed does not get fed, then it will not grow. It is the fuel needed. So what are you fueling your seed with? Did you have a dream/idea and plant that seed, but then walked away? Did you neglect it? Did someone tell you it wasn’t worth it? Continue to feed the dream and remember rain isn’t always a bad thing; those troubles could be working for your good.
PHASE 3: Weeding: Once the soil starts to feed the seed; weeds grow as well. These are the things that try to take what was meant for the seed in the first place; the nutrients. It tries to breakdown that strong foundation. If the weeds are not taken out they can destroy the seed and prevent it from becoming a flower. Sometimes we get ourselves tangled with ideas, mentalities, and people that are not apart of the growing process. In fact, they are draining the good out of you. You must be intentional about separating yourself from these things. You have to weed yourself out from the things that are preventing you from your destiny; your purpose.
PHASE 4: Blooming: This is when the flower starts to reach its fullest potential. This is a very important time because this is when others start to notice the beauty of the flower. This blossoming season can cause premature attention. Others will start to notice your hard work pay off and they may become envious or start to question your path or plan. STAY FOCUSED! Continue to shine and to blossom. Embrace the growing pains and consider them lessons learned. DO NOT GET COMPLACENT! It is easy to think “I got this now” and forget where your strength comes from.
PHASE 5: : HarvestThis is when you can reap what is sown. You can see that your works are not in vain. This does not mean to stop. In fact, it means to keep going. Make sure you give praise and thanks to God as well as share your testimony with others. You see that people who you haven’t spoken with or the very people who doubted your vision will be around for the harvest. Be selective about who you share this with because one bad influence can rot the entire harvest. This does not mean to throw it in their face with the “I TOLD YOU SO,” but to treat them with compassion. . Be reminded that if you sowed an unclear seed, one not in the Will of God, one without true belief that it can be accomplished or even bad seeds that this is indeed what you will harvest.
Tis the season to go get what is yours! Here’s to new seasons!
